Don't know if it can be retrofitted on the 987. I've got selfdim/rainsensing on my Cayman and I really like it. Didn't have it on my Boxster, but in retrospect wish I did.

It may be possible to swap in a 997 cluster. It was an easy swap to put a 996 cluster into a 986, but I don't know if/how much harder it will be in the newer cars.

Doug makes a good point: if it's not a boxer engine, it's not a Boxster (boxer roadster).

Doesn't work this way. The plastic window is on the 3-bow top, the glass window is on the 4-bow top. You would have to replace the entire top, including the frame to update to the later rear window...
