open the rear glass only, then remove all the trim panels around the frame, now open t he hatch remove 3 screws in the little black handle to the right. Now pull down hard, the panel will come off....

Hard to start is usually related to the canister purge valve, Iive seen a few bad cam position sensors but never a crank sensor (on a cayenne) and always with faults .

If the car runs fine I might leave it alone.............but if your interested in pressing further step one will be to do a leak down and compression test and look for piston ring seal problems.
