Should not be any hissing sound. The aftermarket tanks are junk and you're not the first one experiencing that.

The long-term solution is to replace it with an OE tank.

I would strongly suggest not using a $33 water pump because basically you're risking your engine whenever it's running. If any blade breaks off and lodges in the heads, it will be difficult to fix.

That connector just plugs into an empty slot on the right side of the engine bay along with the bank 2 O2 sensors connectors. It's used for emission testing purposes.

Also check if both of your coolant fans work at both low and high speeds....
