For the key, try squeezing with side cutting pliers (sometimes called diagonal cutters), then pry upwards. This has worked for me in the past.

I'm thinking the electronic solenoids in the door need adjusting. You'll have to take off the door panels to gain access. The procedure is in the factory repair manual.

Hard to tell for sure from your 2nd pic, but that looks like the plug for the TDC sensor used only for diagnostics. There should be the matching O2 sensor plug down behind the intake manifold.
