Broken belt in Distributor? Easy to check: unplug the main one at the coil (flat sliding connector) and try to start the car on the slave only.
I can not remember which is which so you can try one...

There must be a 1mm gap on that side.

It does not affect anything since I still have the electric blower sucking...

I put some drops of oil on the shaft with a cut wire-hanger dipped in fluid bicycle oil (the kind you get in a small metal can with a conical nozzle). It worked.
So far 1 year without squeal.

With only one plug per cylinder it is not the same at all: 'Choked' comes to mind.
Easy to try, just remove the 12 V from one ignition...
