Use a 0w40 or 5w50 engine oil. Porsche approves Mobile 1 in both grades. In theory the 0w40 offers more protection in cold climates due to the 0w viscosity being able to lubricate in sub freezing...

What are folks using for engine oil? I will soon need to change the oil on my '99 C2. For my earlier 911's I use Mobil 1 0W-40. Is that a good choice for the 3.4?
