no need for solid lifter in a 16v it has 35mm hydraulic lifters and 7mm stems witch is the industries standard in 4v per cylinder engines of the last 30 years and the same set up they happily spins...

at full lift the valves are only protruding about 2-3mm from the head (2.5/16v)
and at a guess that it's no where near TDC ...

it only adds cost effective if you stumble across a few parts like a2.5 S complete for under $ 800..

dont judge only by rpm to 1 bar remeber car speed is about torque and power you may find the .82 is making 20 more ft lbs at 3500 rpm with 2psi less...
