No mods, made for SP1 and then he decided for lowest weight possible (within his budget) instead. I suspect it would need ballast to be legal as it came in at ~2100# without fuel?

Had a 944 sounding like a diesel - found nothing worth noting beyond the fact that the cam gear bolt appeared to be at a lower torque value than specified.

Tightened up and it has been fine...

Place a bottle on the coolant tank overflow line, take the car for a spirited drive.

If you find coolant in the bottle, there's a good chance your head gasket has gone.
