MY 80 motors have the air injection in the manifolds and there is no air tube on the CAT whereas the MY 82 does have an aire tube on the CAT.

I would go there but when I pulled the CAT the last time, the driver's side manifold was red-brown rust like the plugs, and the passenger's side manifold was black shoot but the plugs were red-brown...

Fuel Pressure Gauge bounces when the injector/injectors fire by about 5-7 psi.
You lean the car out and then pull your CAT and look up the manifolds.
