Eventually you might want to think about doubling up on the thickness of the plenum. I don't think that would survive an intake backfire and will also flex a lot with load. Very cool project though....

What diameter is the rotor? 330mm will barely clear a few 16" wheels. Generally 323 is safe with a 16". 345mm barely fits under 17" wheels.
I'd guess you need 17" wheels.

I would think pretty strongly about doing a C5/C6 trans swap. Up front cost will be more, but should be stronger and a lot more replacement parts are easily sourced.
