Saturday I try to start the car and nothing at all happened, gauge was just above 12 v so I jumped it and still nothing. Push started the car and drove it home.

This starter is 5 years old and about 80,000 miles on the car since.
I had O'Reilley's put their box on it and the charging system and starter showed OK... for what that's worth.

What actually compensates for cold weather starting?

My 87 S always starts but runs very rough for the first several minutes and the idle is a wump wump wump until it reaches normal operating...

Valuable lesson learned... by moving the door...

Valuable lesson learned... by moving the door handle release pull to the unlocked position and holding it out, then gently working the lock knob with pliers it unlocked and the door will open.

I assume that cat on my car is original and I have an exhaust leak in that area.
