No, I don't.

This starter is 5 years old and about 80,000 miles on the car since.
I had O'Reilley's put their box on it and the charging system and starter showed OK... for what that's worth.

What actually compensates for cold weather starting?

My 87 S always starts but runs very rough for the first several minutes and the idle is a wump wump wump until it reaches normal operating...

I've had my 87 S since '01 and every winter when the temps get down to the 20's or lower the car cranks verrrry slowly but always starts. During the winter I use Mobil 1 15/40 so I kinda wonder about...

What about cutting one side of the key for the ignition and the other side for the doors? Or do both sides have to match?

It works on Kawasaki double sided keys.

I assume that cat on my car is original and I have an exhaust leak in that area.

When I take it in to get the leak repaired I'm considering just removing the cat and having him make a replacement...

When my S has an air pocket the the air coming from the heater cools down, I only get full hot at higher RPMs.

Ummm... given the $90 difference, I'd go with the Bosche replacement. Many Bosche parts came factory on the car anyway. You're replacing the cap also... aren't you?
