I'd argue that since those are only on when...

I'd argue that since those are only on when there's an issue (seatbelt's unbuckled, etc) they're probably not "too" bright. They're gonna be bright when on, though!

I did two things with the bulbs... 1) test them...

I did two things with the bulbs... 1) test them with a 9v battery to see which way they light up, 2) test the contacts on the back of the gauges with the lights installed to make sure they light up....

At a minimum, you could skip the "Check Engine"...

At a minimum, you could skip the "Check Engine" and "Trailer Connection" bulbs and be at 15 - 12 for the various warnings and 3 for the gauges.
