I sold my 996 to a member here and it had 167,000 trouble free miles.

My 997 looks and feel better than new.

Check the connector on the right side of the throttle body. There is a fuel vapor line with a solenoid/pump. Unplug the electrical and re plug it. If not, is that part... like $300 +/-
