Sounds like I can use later spindles on my 86 951 without much of an issue. (I have camber plates as well)

I race a 951 in a "team" with 5 other 951's and we can't get anywhere near -3 to -3.5 camber in the rear!

Remember the choice of a "transaxle" fluid is different than a "tranny" fluid ... especially when limited slip is involved ...

Calculating your approximate wheel rates:
Front: ~585lbs.
Rear: ~309lbs.
