A MAP sensor is used off of Vacuum at the intake manifold; so the AFM on our cars works with a flap door that opens with vacuum from the motor similar to a MAP sensor the question is does a MAP...

So it has a chip that yields 17hp; big whoopie... and suspension upgrades just means it has a M030 suspension... nothing to SpEcial to...

My 1990 S2 has a Weltmeister chip; it adds 22HP and 21FtLbsT to the stock numbers... My car also has a cat back exhaust system... My S2 came like yours...

if the offset is right swap the phone dials onto the 77 and sell that as a whole car..! or just drive the 77 for now til you get the money up for the final car you really want...

If I remember right from another post the DME is on the passenger side floor and in the earlier models is under the driver side floor... and the harness is too long or short or something that makes...

Maybe the S2 is fixable... Otherwise id just sell all the motors and transmissions and other parts and Buy a Nice...

968 and S2 cams are NOT interchangeable... 968...

968 and S2 cams are NOT interchangeable... 968 has a vario-cam system and the cam design is completely different... The 968 cam chain tensioner is electric and controlled by the DME...

I believe they changed because they redesigned the control arm setup from the steel VW A1 design to the Alloy Porsche design...

Also from what I learned is that the real difference in the Brake...

I agree could be a busted CV joint if one breaks the car wont move... but if it is gear oil it will have a smell to it -which personally i hate- the CV grease dosent...

I never had heard of it before til i got into mechanics more... in 99 I heard of VW L4 motors bending over prolonged time on the engine stand... Understand though it takes time and that it can bend...

Also you mentioned you had it "on a stand"; do you mean the ones they use on old chevy engines that rolls...
