If you like carbon fiber stuff - you can buy cheap carbon fiber shells that go over plastic parts - I think I've seen these on Ebay for around $70.

True, a used car is a used car and CPO is $2.5k on top of that. But you also get a piece of mind and at least some insight into the car's history - most of the time, Porsche dealerships would not CPO...
