on 944 there is a check valve after the fuel pump to keep the fuel rail filled with gas all the time. I think it's on every car/truck... Maybe this valve leaks?

thanks Mike, even at $109.99 (they charge more when mailing to WA...) it's still cheaper than competition, especially that the core is much lower, and I suspect I wouldn't get it back as my old unit...
