My 2006 cup definitely did not have a threaded connection. I saw it disassembled before the pipes were welded and was just like my 2008 street GT3 coolant pipes.

My 997.1 cup had a failure in the epoxy after a motorsport rebuild. Caught before catastrophic failure. I had the motor pulled and welded in sharkwerks couplers.

When I purchased mine it came with a business vinyl on top of a base graphics vinyl wrap. Good chance you can remove some of those decals and add your own. Congratulations! Nothing like a cup car.

I know 996 & 997 require 100 RON octane which is how German specs their premium pump gas . US 93 octane uses R+M/2 method which equals 100 RON. So no Octane booster is required if you use 93 pump gas.
