I don't know when Porsche will publicly release the car but I'll try to post the brochure with pictures later.

Saw it in a brochure tucked away at the dealership. No mention of the RS yet. I'll try to get pics of the brochure posted.

Here's a picture the cover I took with my camera phone.

Well, now we'll all have to wait for a dyno...if it is underrated like the
996 GT-3 then wow!, otherwise there is only a 15hp difference between
the 996 and 997 GT-3's.

Judging by the vented rear bumper, it looks to be the widebody.

Excellent post! Other interesting notes:
-PASM and TC standard.
-350mm steel rotors all around as standard, PCCB optional.
-Variable ratio steering rack
-Seat mounted side airbags
-Shift light on tach
-5 mm spacer on rear hubs
-Wheels made of "special alloy"

Sounds like Porsche is keeping the GT3 a very focused car... Thankfully no PSM with TC being a reasonable concession. Addition of PASM is OK to make the GT3 more liveable daily. Of course serious trackers will retrofit a real suspension. Wonder if the standard struts will have threaded bodies?

Nice car, but IMO it would be even better without PASM, TC, variable steering, 19 inch wheels, the needlessly heavy rear rotors and the overly busy front and rear bumpers.
