Default 91-92 turbo P's & C's

I just purchased a new set of Mahle P's & C's for the 91-92 turbo (PN: 103.954.08). Will be using them in my 86 3.3 rebuild. $1550 shipped.

I am posting this beacuse it seemed like a really good deal to me and someone else here might want to get a set for themself.

I bought mine on ebay, but the seller has a website and lists another set there for $1660. See this link.

http://store.auctionfrontier.com/Ite...H?sck=41121910

Like most, I was looking for a 3.4L (98mm) set, but decided that the extra displacement was uncecessary for me. As well as the much higher cost.

I have no affiliation, and have not even received my set yet, but just wanted to pass along the info. (also hoping I haven't been taken...no reason to suspect that yet though).

Seems like a good deal- did you get the Mahle's for the better cylinder cooling?

Yeah. I wanted fully finned. It gets mucho caliente here in TX!

The price for new 3.4's is obscene. Used ones are hard to come by and, well, they're used. New fully finned 3.3's retail for less than 3.4's, but are still very expensive. Was considering the QSC's from supertec too, but had finally decided to bore and plate out some used 95mm cylinders and hope to reuse my existing pistons because I liked the idea of using all mahle metallurgy vs. mahle & JE. I have also heard/read some negative thoughts about thinning the cylinders for boosted applications. Seems logical that the thicker walls would be stronger and retain their shape longer. Probably not an issue for my street car, but I buy into the idea. Then I came across these at what appears to be a significant discount from retail.

Seemed like an easy choice. Just hoping I didn't overlook something.

Just emailed them and got a pretty good/quick response. Sounds likey are legit. Plus their former eBay account was something like 99.2% positive with over 25,000 transactions....

Don't forget to order the viton o-rings that go into the base of cylinders. The spigots will leak if they're not in there.

Seems like a good deal, to me! As others have pointed, don't forget the seals.

Curious, any mods needed to fit these in?

These were originally used in C2T's with the head gaskets, right?

Are you guys going to run C2T head gaskets as well?

Nope, no head gaskets. Just check your deck height and purchase the viton spigot o-rings I mentioned the previous post.

I went to their storefront/warehouse and picked up a set in person - they had at least 5-6 sets on the shelf. They are the real deal, and are complete with the rings, pins and circlips. The owner lives in a neighbood about 1mi. from me, and has agreed to keep me in the loop as he acquires more Porsche parts stock.

For the record, I would not have bought unless I could have put my hands on these parts (or knew of someone who had done so that I could trust), and I won't for a second vouch for anything else this guy is selling - he buys odd lots of parts by the pallet (or larger), and I'd assume that some of the stuff is junk. It just so happens that these P&C's are the real deal, and the price is better than you may ever see agan.
