Default OT: Jay Leno's CGT

After Jerry Seinfeld got No. 1, Mr Leno got No. 2 in LA. My friend Huw took a couple of pics:

enjoy:

I think it looks outstanding in red

I'm actually suprised,
Thought it wouldn't look good in red, but it does!

Maybe Jay hadn't made up his mind which color he wanted! It does look great in red. The one I saw was in silver. But the red looks better.

That car was borrowed from PCNA. It was a press car. Check out the license plate on the red car in the July issue of Road & Track. It is not a US-spec version either.

I'm a bit surprised. Jay has made some 'anti-Porsche' type comments in the past, when asked whether he owned any.

I guess the CGT was too much car for him to resist.

The Ferrari 456 GT never suited Rosso Corsa. Most unusual for a Ferrari. Very few of them in that colour for a good reason.

I dunno.. the red is kinda throwing me off.. I'm not feeling it...

silver is where this car excelles.

IMHO-

So Viken, are you suggesting that Jay is getting the Porshe version of the "24 hour test drive"?

If he wanted silver, the Auto Gallery in Woodland Hills has had one on the showroom for a long time.

that's crazy. I know Jerry and Jay know each other decently well if not pretty well cuz i think they used to do standups together, so i wonder if they'll ever call each other up for a rally through the backroads one day.

Nice to see he parks way left so the guy next to him doesn't accidentally door ding it
I got a look at a silver one at Hoehn Porsche yesterday - the amount of carbon fibre in the engine bay is amazing...No wonder the repair bill for the one that sold at Pioneer Centers (San Diego) is upwards of $100K. Apparently the guy who bought it pulled out of the dealership and got rear ended. The sales manager at Hoehn told me about it - guess it brakes a little too well for any other passenger car on the road

Surj:

I don't mean to hijack the thread. What a small world. I used to work with Huw Holwill in the past. Does he still drive the white 944?

Obviously where Jay Leno parks his car(s) is on a closed set and the guy taking pictures of it and then them ending up on the internet, well, I'd venture to say Jay would not be happy about it. Usiung his full name, or saying who took the photos at all is probably not something you should be posting on a bbs...Just my .02
