16V Cam advance/retard It done
Stick a fork in it, it's done.
Thanks to all who gave input on the earlier threads.
I finally found the perfect pulley. It's used on a 4 camshaft engine for, apparently, this same purpose.
The pulley bolt is offset and can give up to 2 degrees cam movement by itself.
Approximately 1-6 degrees total cam advance/retard*.
*Retard by installing the belt one tooth retarded (=7.5 degrees), and advance to desired final retard.
*Update: V2*

Three Wheelin'
Nice job!
Out of curiosity though, it would be nice to see before and after dyno results to 'see' how well it works. As you know, ***-ometers can be biased, mine included.

Gregg K, Lagavulin - thanks!
Turns out there's a Japanese tuning shop just down the street with a Mustang dyno with optical pickup and wideband O2.
I'm going in in about two weeks for some baseline pulls with/without.
Hopefully the torque converter will give consistent results for the torque curve, which is what I'm after.

Great job. I definately want to do that to my 79 next time I do the timing belt. Sometime after the first of the year. I need to replace my cam cover gaskets so that will all happen at once.
Good job
