Great pics. Looks like a fantastic time. Did you, by chance, run into Rennlister David from Pittsburgh while you were there?

No - I did post asking if he was going but never got to read his reply so I wasn;t expecting any Rennlisters there - although I was proudly wearing my badge!!

More common than in Minneapolis im sure as im from WI myself. But you can't compare them as being common in Germany when you are at the Ring because that place isn't common at all nor is Hockemheim for that matter. If you get the chance ever hit the Ring up sometime in the summer months possibly on a race weekend as you will see more cars than you may be able to handle....its just lala land of cars!

3.5 months till my return to Germany

the area around the 'Ring is, IMHO, totally infested with Porsches and other sports cars to drool over during the right season (spring->autumn). You must not miss it if you go there! They say a lap in the Ring Taxi (a BMW M5) is really rewarding
We went there last summer to attend the Formula 1 circus. Didn't have any chance to try a lap on the ring, then, due to "other slightly faster cars" occupying the circuit
The owner of the hotel we stayed at had raced in many different Porsches, so he went off the top when we pulled up in the red one at his place, got stuck in his basement for like an hour, watching photos, talking races etc. I hope I get the chance to go back there soon!
