Question Lowering Module

Thinking of getting a lowering module. Any advise would be appreciated. Anyone have any problems? Brands? Installation?

Thanks

I'd like one too. There are plenty available, Techart, Gemballa, Car Graphic and others. They usually run about $2000. From what I understand they are a plug and play type of device, it must override the normal control module. Also, I believe they are probably all about the same from all the descriptions I've read. They enable the car to not only go lower and stay that way for driving but also they raise the height of the highest setting.

Seems like $45.00 in parts and a good bit of clever thinking and R&D. I'd pay a few hundred but can't see spending the prices asked.

That one you posted from Carnewal is car graphic style. That one, and the actual car graphic unit is a piggy back to the OEM unit.

The techart unit is a ECU swap. I ordered the techart unit and I'll have it on Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

If anyone wants pics or info let me know. For now here is the techart website:
http://www.techart.de/Programm_Cayen...ul_pop_up.htm#

you can mouse over the pics to enlarge them.

I know a way to get a unit similar to the techart unit for about $1850 vs $2500.

I agree it is overpriced either way, but c'est la vie!

Jenner, let us know how you like it and if it throws any codes or errors. I'm suire the dealer won't help if it screws something up. Can't help but think it will affect tire wear if you drive all the time on the lower setting, even though I'd love the way it looks.

We are talking about the air suspension that is an option on the S and standard on the Turbo.

We can't lower our Cayennes with springs.

Hey Jenner, what's the way to get one similar for less? Also, are you installing yourself? If so, send DIY pics along. Thx.

Don't forget Sportec of Switzerland, they have one. I think the price is around 2300 CHF which is around the 2 grand mark maybe a little less depending on the exchange rate.
www.sportec.ch (English version is not up and running yet).

Sportec is actually a hell of a company.

As far as I know the only place in the U.S. that has anything to do with Sportec is here in Colorado. A place called Autosportwerks is their licensed distributor.

It is very costly stuff but seems they do a lot of testing before putting stuff on the market.

Try www.autosportwerks.com to contact them for prices.

From what I understand, the cargraphic unit can be set to use the stock settings or the new settings. I have not seen the unit but I hear there is a switch to use either settings. Gives a lot of flexability.

Default H&R module.

H&R offers a lowering module and cheaper than TechArt. Probably the same unit just TA rebadged it for all anyone knows. I bet if u take it apart it is probably the same unit concerning all the brand labels. Most Tuner companies outsource their suspension to companies like H&R, Eibach, Bilstein, etc.. for private labeling.
