Default Carrera S coupe: Pulled the trigger!

Guys,

I ordered my new 997S Coupe yesterday afternoon. She'll be an October build (hopefully). I ordered the following:

56-Cobalt Blue Metallic
AT-Black Full Leather
670-Navigation for PCM
680-Bose High End Sound Package
M6A-Black Mats-Porsche Lettering
X51-Carrera Power Kit
P15-Power Seat Package
692-Remote CD Changer (6 disc)
267-Self Dimming Mirrors
482-TPMS
498-Delete Model Designation
405-19" Carrera Classic Wheels
XPA-Thick 3 Spoke Steering Wheel-Interior
Leather
022-Instrument Dials in Black
CPU-Key Pouch in Interior Leather

With a destination charge of $795 the grand total is $113,565. My dealer is giving me a 3% concession off of that price. Not great but I understand that I shouldn't expect more on a special order car.

My big worry is that the X51 delays the order due to Club Coupes getting priority.

I've got a little time to change options but I'm pretty happy with my choices.

Any thoughts?

This car, like my current 996, will be a daily driver and GT road tripper. I regularly drive from St. Pete. to Dallas to see my business partner. I can't wait to drive this X51 through some of the US highways in Alabama and Misissippi. Carrera S: the only way to fly!

Nice! You are going to love that color combination! Blue seat belts would have been a nice touch as well.

Get ready for the hard part...the wait! Congrats!

Thanks!

So you like Cobalt Blue Metallic? LOL, imagine that.

Beautiful 944, btw.

Sounds like it's going to be a beautiful car. I know you live in Florida, but I would seriously consider the heated seats. When it comes time to sell her, it may be easier, and it can get a little chilly there sometimes.

That's a good thought. The heated seats in our other cars do get used (by my wife) in the winter here.

However, a friend of mine is a certified Audi technician and he does the most beautiful radar detector hardwire installs. He's hardwired V1s in all of our cars.

On my 996 he completely removed the interior A-pillar and roof trim to run the cord for my V1 from the rear view mirror down to the fuse box. When replaced the trim completely hides the cable, no ratles no worries. My 996 doesn't have heated seats and we used the heated seats circuit for the V1. So the V1 has it's very own labeled circuit and fuse right in the fuse box. It's a real slick setup.

Anyway, I want him to do a similar install on the 997 when it comes so I though I'd save the heated seat circuit for that purpose.

I'm curious. Does the 482 option show tire pressures on one of the displays?

Yes, the pressure in each individual tire.
