Arrow The Fast Banana Meets My New Car

Had the day to myself, washed the car and put Klasse AIO and Klasse sealant glaze on it. My friend stopped by with the Fast Banana. Had an opportunity to drive both cars back to back. The fast banana is an 05 997 with 9000 miles, sport exhaust, no sport chrono or pasm, on stock 18" with 265 / 40 rears.

My car is new only 513 miles (not bad since Friday) so couldn't push my car to redline and not loosened up yet.

I was surprised how strong the Fast Banana felt. Not the same pull but if you buried your foot and held it there the Fast Banana by no means is any slouch. I would have to say at this point it was closer than I would have thought.

The fast banana did not feel anywhere near as stable or planted for some reason, possibly do th the wheel and tire size. The banana also had the stock shifter and mine has the sport shifter and the stock shifter in comparison feels extremely long on the throws.

Don't worry I will not be hitting you with pictures every other day but took some shots of her at home and then tucked away in her own stall for the night.

Again thanks to everyone here its been a fun weekend.

toomey:

as the owner of the fst bnana i thank you for allowing me to drive ther new car (slvr bulit?)? my 997 feels "twitchy" as oppsed to yours...your car feels completely planted... anyone else notice this? also, i am interested that my car runs "hotter"(oil temp. varies between 205 ish to 225) but the water temp. is rock solid on 175. also, your car's color is much better than in the photos...i wouldnt call it silver, more a lite grey. break the car in robert so we can do a real good comparison!! tim

I know I do need to clean it. I usually keep it spotless but now with a 2 1/2 y.o. I have way more stuff around for him to play with. The floors I had done by a company from Orange County 4 step process over 4 days. They probably have similar kits out now from Home Depot.

I was thinking the same thing.

Great pics... New York weather has been in the upper 40's and low 50's and I was feeling pretty good about that until I saw your pics... now I hate you sooo much.

Enjoy, both cars look perfect.

Sweet Toomey! The first time I drove a 997 with the short throw shifter I immediately updated my "unsubmitted" order. That thing rocks, and I'm glad you are enjoying yours. Once again, you are making me glad that I got that too.

Your car look sweet. I hope I have a sunny day like that when my car arrives. Here in the Pacific Northwest we've had what everyone *thinks* we have all of the time -- non stop rain. Over 40 days of rainy days in a row -- a new record - YUCK! I'm hoping this means there won't be any rain for the rest of the year when my car arrives next month!

You need to take a nice low shot of the rear to show off those fat 305's! ...

Thanks for the bright sunny pictures of both a bright and a sunny car.

Cheered me up for a few minutes. I'm very grateful.

Loooooove the wheels.

Damnit man! Those Carrera Sport wheels look so much better on the GTSilver than I anticipated. I ordered the Sport Designs (which I love) for my March build, but damn!
