Default 964 C4 Hydraulic pump leakage

Hi,

I had got a leakage between the hydraulic pump and the pressure switch.
I have changed the o-ring on the pressure switch.

The leakage decreased but small drips are always here.

I heard that some pressure switches had got problems and in these cases, it was better to change the switch too.

Some ideas?

Hiya Eric 33
The switch can leak . It is under lots of psi / bars , so its understandable if it does leak .
Where are you ?

I had this and changed my switch, all good now. Watch the delicate threads on the pump. The switch isn't expensive, the pump is.

I though on the avatar "location: France-Bordeaux" was quite self explanatory...
I see you coming already, making an "offer of service"

after fixing my clutch (which seems ok, pedal quite light according to my father) and installing new rotor/pads you could go down to Bordeaux and fix Eric's leak on the soon to come

Indy, you're right : I have completed my profile after reading your question !

Concerning the switch, I am able to change it. The only thing I want to understand is how it is possible to avoid leakage by changing the switch and not only the o-ring...

Hiya Eric33
I don't understand your question 100% so I'm going to answer what I think you are asking .
The oring seals the connection from the switch to the pump . The inside of the switch has to be sealed or the fluid would just flow out of the end of the switch . The inside of the switch has to have parts that move under very high pressure with out leaking . The seal on the internal parts are not perfect / lifetime parts . I wish I knew French . Its been on my list of things to do for a very long time .

I had changed the o-ring seal beacause I saw a small leakage through the thread beetween the switch and the pump. It's better now but not completly sealed.
I read that it could be necessary to change also the switch and I would like to have your opinion about that . Look at that
