Sportec stage 3
Ok, my good old Turbo is now at Sportec to get a Stage 3 upgrade, bigger front brakes and brake cooling pipes.
The car got dynoed this morning:
Funnily, the new engine (see my sig for details) only has 406 HP, against 424 for the original one. Here the dyno diagramm of the old one:
Now, the engine has been taken out already, and serious things will start next week.

Pierre, very good. Did you see thge SP1 on the dyno? The drop in power most likely is the difference between the MAHA and Bosch. The camshafts will be a worthy upgrade. Good Luck..

I went to see my baby today. Ueli Hodel (Sportec's boss) couldn't be stopped talking! He obviously knows his stuff. Talking to - well... listening at - him is a great way to learn a lot about the technical details of the car. Great guy!
Kevin, I asked for the SPR1, but didn't see it. Anyway, I'll be back next Tuesday and won't forget my camera. So expect a few pics of my car and of the SPR1! Ueli told me they're getting crazy numbers out of the SPR1 engine: like well over 900 Nm, etc. Impressive.
Richard, were you expecting more from the dyno? Did you dyno your car elsewhere to compare? Abt (near Bern) has a 4wd dyno too. Can't wait to see my car's final values! Ueli is very confident we'll have some interesting results...
BTW, we saw their SP 380 Cayman: 3.8 l, 380 HP (tuned 997's engine), veeery nice looking. One Sportec guy told us it's quicker than a stock 996 GT3 around Hockenheim...

I guess I was looking for the magic 500 HP
that's all and I haven't done a dyno elsewhere, I did take the Ferrari along as well though and that wasn't too high either

and you have a sport exhaust too Pierre
so anything less than the standard 420 would seem a little low especially as your new engine is well run in now right ?

@Kevin: I will NOT forget my camera anymore! I promise! BTW, the stage 3 doesn't involve new camshafts, right?
@Richard: Any way for you to show us both diagrams? And yes, I was a bit surprised that the new engine (20k km) only delivers 406 HP. Dunno... Ueli Hodel told me that since I still have the old original ECU, that's pretty much normal. Porsche improved the software a lot in the following years, and only upgrading this would already be a substantial difference. Ok, but I still think the Porsche-claimed 420 HP should be available, even with their old software. Anyway. We'll see what will come out... ;-)

they are very nice graphics but the lines are so fine that when I try and capture them with my digital camera its just too faint and Sportec couldn't do PDF files, only print outs they told me

Diverter Valves
Need to update that now as have Techart exhaust on, and Cargraphic 19"s after a disasterous spell with a Cargraphic Loud exhaust and my Sportec Lip spoiler went in the dustin, its a crap design and just too deep when you have lowered your car
