What about the hats?
I didn't measure my alcon system, and stuck with stock callipers, but it felt like more of a difference than your ones. Are the hats much larger as the disks look kinda narrow in the pics (inner radius to outer radius)?

Had mine installed earlier this year on my TT. Insane stopping power.
Have to pre-load the calipers when you run long distances before you hammer the brakes. I left foot "tap" twice to get them preloaded..
a little annoying on long distance drives cause they do rattle some but ....

grussell,
This is extremely good information. I didn't know the calipers on the GTR kit were that light.
Basically, it presents the same weight reduction as the PCCB, with much better stopping power.
This is a great finding. Long lasting, lightweight brakes.

I love the callipers - very pretty. 8 pots all round?
Presumably you lose the ebrake?
Also wondering what the need for upgrading to these is? There are cheaper ways of getting rid of ceramics and the standard callipers etc seem more than adequate.

Grussel can you confirm this for me also ESCALVANTEs question as regards to needing to upgrading the other parts?
Thanks
