Group Buy - 997 Remote Key!!!
Ok Gang, I've talked to Sven and Stefan at Wilhelmy-IT and the Remote Key for the 997 is now READY!!! They are happy to have us organize a group buy. I decided to take as much information as I could from the recent group buy on the Cayman website See Here.
What we need to do is simply have people respond to this thread that they are going to order a Remote Key from Wilhelmy-IT. We start counting the numbers and what that number grow over the next couple of weeks. At the end of that time whatever number we have they will give us a group buy code to order the product from their website with the associated discount. I negotiated the same discount schedule that the Cayman crew got. Here it is:
10=$259
20=$249
30=$239
40=$229
50=$219
60=$209
70=$199 - no more discount available
For those who have forgotten the features, either check the mods4cars.com website or here is a list I copied:
Fully programmable via the turn signal stalk
Beep(s) on lock and unlock
Home light on/off via key
4 second delay on front and rear trunks
windows auto-up and auto-down with key hold
doors auto lock/unlock on drive-off or key removal
side mirror lowering when car put into reverse - aids in parallel parking
I'm already in so I'll start the counting with myself at #1. If you are going to order a Remote Key please list yourself in a reply and add one the total numbers. Sven and Stefan said usually they let these run about 2 weeks before closing the group buy window so that products can be packaged for prompt shipment but that if we were close to a cut-off point, say 58 orders, they would let it go a few more days to try to reach the next plateau.
They are supposed to be posting video of the Remote Key on their site shortly and already have the install instructions online.
So who is with me? !!!

I'll certainly post something here when it is time to go order because I will post the group buy code that gives everyone the discount.
