Default XM Radio for my PCM!!

Another mod....yes! I am out of control! MORE!!

Here is XM conversion kit for the PCM3 in the TT. It is actually not for the TT but will work. Earlier I had mentioned that the PIWIS showed coding for XM and Sirus. Well, here ya go!! Unit will intrface directly with the PCM and work like it was from the factory.

I spent the better part of the day changing the harnesses and will do a write up on the install. It is not that hard and if you have the correct version of software in the PCM3 it will automatically pick the unit up. I also have figured out which wires we really need and the specifics of all the numbers.

If anyone wants to do this I can walk them through it as well as get the harnesses. It is not cheap, but it beats FM modulation and is nice and neat to have in the factory head.

that is a valuable addition. how much will the kit cost, and what would be the approx install time? would it wind up working like the xm conversion in the cayenne, where the xm channel number appears on the screen?

Yes sir, it will pop right up on the screen. We will finish the install today. For some reason Stephen starts his projects at 5pm, and has to leave by 5:30

This has been previously discussed/documented:
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/250615-i-have-satellite-radio-in-my-997-c4s-cab.html

The 997TT uses the same infotainment as the 997/987/996/986/955/etc.....
PCM3.0 has not been released yet.

The kit is around a grand or so. There are a lot of things you will not need but still have to buy in order to get a few of the wires. Also I recommend not pulling the original lead off of the NAV ant lead rather swap the end of the plugs.

I will post pictures soon.

Does this mean that it will work for Sirius also, or were you incorrect earlier?

Thanks.
