Default MY06 997s for 10K Below Invoice!

My buddy at Crown Porsche in Virginia just called me to let me know that they are no longer a Porsche dealership and are exclusively going BMW (which I think is very lame but I'll save that chatter for another thread). As a result, as of 12PM EST today, they are unloading (and I mean UNLOADING) their current MY2006 Porsches they have remaining in stock at up to 10K BELOW INVOICE. Since they are no longer a Porsche dealer they can unload these cars for whatever price they want, but they must sell them as "USED" even though they all have never been titled and have less than 100 miles on them. I know this sounds too good to be true, but all I can say is how many times does a Porsche dealership close shop and do a firesale? They have already sold 4 today since noon and I wanted to pass on this news to rennlisters before they're all gone. Here's what they had left as of 7PM EST today:

2006 Porsche Cayman S Arctic Silver MSRP 67650 Sale 51658
2006 Porsche Boxster S Forest Green MSRP 64300 Sale 48611
2006 Porsche Boxster S Slate Gray MSRP 67815 Sale 51598
2006 Porsche Boxster Arctic Silver MSRP 54215 Sale 39791
2006 Porsche Carrera Cab Slate Gray MSRP 102280 Sale 79077
2006 Porsche Carrera S Cab Midnight Bl MSRP 109840 Sale 85757
2006 Porsche Carrera S Cab Dark Olive MSRP 111195 Sale 86910
2006 Porsche Carrera 4 Cab Arctic Sil MSRP 99900 Sale 77198
2006 Porsche Carrera 4 Cab White MSRP 103970 Sale 80658
2006 Porsche Carrera 4 Cab Black MSRP 104450 Sale 81066
2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Gray MSRP 119200 Sale 88213
2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo S Black MSRP 132280 Sale 99334

Feel free to contact the sales associate at Crown directly handling these cars-- his name is Rick Rossano and he's a really, really good guy. His contact #s are: 434.249.1872 or 434.979.7222. Be sure to tell him that Dave from L.A. referred you so he knows to give u the best price, as I told him I was going to post about these deals on rennlist ASAP. If I hadn't just purchased a used 05 997S two months ago I would be all over one of these as these new prices are the same as the used 05 I bought!!!! Crown is totally legit, and had been a fully authorized Porsche dealership up until recently. I truly hope this info helps someone out there looking for a new P-car!!!!

Happy Hunting & Happy New Year!
Dave

I can 100% vouch for the Crown guys. I bought my '07 C4S from them (picked up in November). I knew this unfortunate change was going to happen (I am out of state, so would be going elsewhere for service anyway). They are fantastic guys and real enthusiasts. There is nothing untoward with why they are no longer selling Porsches.

Matt (who runs the dealership) and Jason helped me with my purchase and were great.

These are great deals and I'm sure won't last long.

Nope, it's legit. They'll take the write offs - save them from capital gains tax.......they 'sold' their franchise to another dealer who's going to open up.

That is a steal. I called about the Cayman S too, but you beat me. I hear it had Sport Chrono. So now I am debating the CTTS.

are they crazy!?! who in their right mind would give up a Porshce dealership with a new Cayenne, Panamera and countless more, and obviously desirable, 911 variants on the way?

awesom deals though.

whats a CTTS?

it does have the sport chromo. it this good or bad in your opinion?

it was a big decision made in about 7 minutes! at least i've test driven an 's' before (and actually preferred it to the 997 's' )

And at 132K MSRP it must be super loaded because mine was 121K and it IS super loaded.

The CTTS is an epic machine.
