I was thinking that video is not very good as well.

It doesn't show the 2 cars side by side at the same speed and then BOOST.

The more I watch it the more I feel it is overrated. It is now quite obvious to me that the frame per second of the video is sped up, andalso we don't know at what speed it started or ended. There are many floating around that look like this one.

I don't doubt that this is a fast car but keepin mind that this is a 2700 lbs car at the most so it does not need 1000RWHP to pull like that assuming it is a real video.

And now the engine is for sale? I might be a skeptic but sounds like a good commercial to me from the owners withall due respect to their palmares and technical savvy.

Is the engine posted for sale somewhere? Can one see the specs?
Thanks

I agree, plus there are no dyno sheets. I hope he (Eddie) is not trying to do what he got pinched for.

Jean - The video is shot with the car set at 14psi and is making around 670whp in this video.

I am not affiliated with Eddie, but there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the video has been tampered with, it looks extremely real and authentic, no frame messing at all. The camera car is an EVO (not exactly slow) and you can see its in the fast lane and moving along well, granted no initial or final speeds are posted.

Also Eddie, was found innocent and charges dropped against any pending crimes. So I think its harsh to say that he has been pinched for anything. Let's not get carried away folks.

If you ever saw his previous white Toyo Tires sponsored 964 run, it was simply spectacular (understatement), thats after driving the car 1100miles from New Jersey to Florida, making several sub 10sec runs with the wheels in the air and then turning around and driving home!

His email is: bellomotorsports@gmail.com and I am betting he will be willing to provide you with a dyno sheet and build spec. And the engine is posted for sale on his website.

Lets please give him the benefit of the doubt - Yasin

Google his name. He has broken many 1/4 mile records with his previous 964 Turbo. He currently still holds the fastest 1/4 time in a Porsche. I have no reason to doubt that the car is putting out the power that the claim it has. He has been down this road before more than a decade ago.

Yasin,

I have absolutely nothing against Bello, for the contrary I think he is a very talented drag racer. I have read everything there is to read about him and until now I am amazed at what he has achieved in the drag racing scene with Porsche cars.

It really is no about him. The problem always arises when you dispute a video or a run that people might perceive it as personal, far from that. As I said in my previous post his palmares speaks for itself, but that does not make this video real. Each one has his opinion, mine is that it is very obvious that it has been sped up, specifically in the second half of it.

The car was presented as a stock body 1994 3.6 turbo which it is not, it is a C2 narrowbody that weighs in stock form less than 3000 lbs, and this particular one probably 2700-2800 lbs at the most. That is a 6-700lbs difference with a 3.6 turbo. Even the engine is a N/A Carrera engine base.

640rwhp at less than 1 bar is not possible (well everything is on a chassis dyno, but no real HP) at least on a 3.6 engine that does not run at 9k RPMs.

This is claimed to be a 60-150mph run, which at 7 seconds or so based on the video, would put the car at 60-130mph in less than 5 seconds (at less than 1 Bar!). On a 2700lbs car with 265s and the shot stock suspension the car has, would have ended on the other side of the highway if it was true.

With that being said, this car trapped a 150mph, which is phenomenal, but on a 2700lbs car would be around 600+ fwhp, and I am assuming that was the car's best shot at 1.5 Bar or more..

We don't know the speed they are crusing at, we don't know if the EVO was WOT, we don't know for sure whether the video is sped up ( I am positive it is), we don't know which gear he is in, but we do know that the engine is now for sale with a claimed 1150rwhp after the video release.

Graciously bowing out....too much empirical data for my little brain to assimilate.

Origyns
Thanks for your post(s) I was hoping you would chime in.

I find it hard to believe that the car weighs 3100lbs, 200lbs more than stock, it does have Volk wheels, RS door panels, no front washers, therefore no pump and reservoir, no rear wiper and no rear wipermechanism,no rear wing mechanism, CF doors? (mirrors are the ones that come attached to those doors usually), the interior looks intact I will give you that. Knowing how carefully this car he been planned (narrowbody too), such as the ride height in the back for improved grip during the launch (higher center of gravity), the aerodynamic mirrors and rain gutters, the thin tires etc, I find it hard to believe it is heavy. Bellos' previous car has been reported to weigh 2100lbs and even heard some say it was 1700 lbs, God knows if that is true.

I need to clarify that I respect greatly a mind that thinks about these things in their minute details, and obviously this is how one beats records, nothing is left haphazardly.

Everytime someone claims unrealistic numbers on the forums they say that it can be done if someone thinks outside the box. Well I have, and my tuner has his years of experience and has gone twin plug and pressure sensing on a 3.8 engine with Garrett turbos etc etc.. and he still could not get close to these numbers at 1 Bar, however....that was on an engine dyno. With my 5% volumetric advantage, I have a hard time believeing you could get 100HP more than my engine. These are air pumps and their efficiency can be modifed somewhat but not much. I do believe that this is what you saw on the dyno, but how was that dyno run and corrected we don't know.

The only way I can conceive you getting close to 600rwhp at 14 psi is if you are running stock N/A compression at 1 Bar, but then again you would not have your engine in one piece at 1.5 Bar for more than the run we saw on the video.

Back to the performance levels, there is still no way to get grip with those tires and weight with a sub 5 second 60-130mph. In fact I just watched your other video (60-150mph) and judging by the tach, before the run ended and right before shifting to 5th gear, it was reading around 6-6.5k RPM which would put you at 123-133mph at the end of your run, in 7 seconds or so, that is more realistic.

I apologize if I mentioned you putting the engine for sale after the video and it was not the case, but the video did seem like a commercial when it reads "the fastest Porsche in the world" which it might be, just not something you can confirm from this video.

It healthy to debate and ask questions, I hope you do not see this as inappropriate, but when such claims are out in the air, one has to expect to get questioned. Thank you for your invitation, I am sure I would have been impressed, I feel that way everyday I start and "drove" my car

Let me just congratulate you anyway on your excellent trap speed time on the strip

That must be running one large ***** of a snail! At a guess, I'd say something sized like a GT45R, or maybe even a GT55R. Daym!

Origyns, what's the off-boost performance like in this thing? Quite streetable? Is this also Eddie's daily driver?
