Default Tri-State NY "Spring Is Not Over" Meet & Drive - June 10th

Hey guys,

Wow...it's been a long time coming since our last meet and drive where we had over 40+ Porsches, so me and a few of our fellow Rennlisters think it is time for another! The weather has just started to feel right and your Porsche is yearning to get out to meet their brothers and sisters. Join us for some car talk and a nice twisty and scenic drive!

DATE: Tentatively, the date will be Sunday, June 10th. Raindate will be the following Sunday.

TIME: 7:30am (please no later than 8am)

MEETING SPOT: Palisades Parkway commuter lot gas station by exit 5.
[Click here for satellite map of meet spot]

ROUTE: I've been saying we need to do a drive in Bear Mountain as the roads are twisty and exciting, so let's do it.

LUNCH: We will end our drive at a restaurant for lunch at The Captain's Table:
The Captains Table is located at:
547 Route 17M
Monroe, NY 10950
(845) 783-0209

Ok....so who will we see there?

Sounds like a plan! I'll most likely make it

I'll PM you some ideas about incorporating Bear Mountain in the drive.

Only obstical is the fact that Tricia is due on the 6th.

Bummer. I'll be at the Montreal F1. Pelican's doing a Spring Ride tentatively on May 26. Anyone for combining?

Sounds like fun. Please forgive my ignorance, but just wondering why these runs in general, start out so early...7:30am?! Just thinking that a later start at say 10am, with an eta arrival at destination at around 11 or 12 noon would be perfect, as then people could grab lunch afterwards if they wanted, and not be so tired trying to get up at 6am or earlier trying to make the meet time.

I think a lot of people prefer to have more of the day left after the run.

Ah...Gotcha. You mean there's things more interesting to do later in the day besides being on a Porsche run?!

Less traffic on the road. Generally the most fun you can have in your car on a Sunday is before the church-goers are let out

I don't necessarily think there more interesting but the wife & kids do.

The point of less traffic makes a lot of sense as well.
