Default Jalopnik-928 Fantasy Garage

Beside using Chuck Z's picture without permission I am sure, this is pretty cool with a video at the end. I hope this isn't a repost. The articles info facts seem suspicious but it is 928 content so enjoy!!

"1992 Porsche 928 GTS with just 20,000 garaged and pampered miles. The word "cheery" doesn't even begin to describe it. And it could have been mine for the low, low price of $10,000. More amazingly, this one had a manual. Only 77 GTS model 928s ever made it to the United States. Of those, just six had manuals."

Someone should have done a little fact checking before publishing.

Thats what I was implying. Also buying it for 10k, highly doubtful.

FYI,

Unless Chuck notifies the website using his pictures in writing to stop they can use them.

You are mistaken. The DCMA protects the ISP, but not the guy who put up the web site. You may not use other people's work without permission. Even if there is no copyright mark, all works are presumed to be copyrighted unless otherwise noted. Of course, you may have trouble proving your case if you don't explicitely copyright your work, but that doesn't not change the legal principal.

Do not post other people's work without their permission unless you are willing to risk the consequences.

I asked them to remove the picture of my car and they have done so.

Thanks.

So when Chuck uses Ebay pictures and text for his own site he is in violation?

Any use of material not created by yourself should be considered copywritten. I don't know what you are referring to so I can't comment on that.

Who knows. If anyone who owns the pictures I post asks me to take them down I will.
