I agree 100%! In fact, one of my best friend's Dad ordered an '81 Jeep Wagoneer (at least I think that's the model) that he still owns today. You guessed it - Orange exterior with orange plaid interior. Gotta' love it!

One morning I had to laugh at myself. I was driving to meet a Boxster owning friend to go for a drive. And there I was, driving my orange car with an orange interior, wearing an orange fleece jacket (I didn't actually purchase it to go with the car. really.), and drinking orange juice cruising down the highway.

A jumpsuit would be really funny. I'd look straight out of a VW commercial. I should look around for one... Although around here, orange jumpsuits are what prisoners wear.

Thanks everyone, for the kind comments on the car.

Can't wait to see pics of the 69.

haha
i think you should definately get some aviators with orange lenses

not sure if they make stop lights look like amber though!

plaid interiors are great. took me a while to appreciate them but they are so cool. never seen an orange plaid though.
heres the tangerine T (plain black interior unfortunately) arrives in 2 weeks.

cant wait cant wait cant wait cant wait

Do you know the story of the four blood orange special paint 930's?

A doctor in Denver bought new a 76, 77, 78, and 79 930 and had each of them painted special order orange at the factory. When he passed away someone bought all four and unfortunately split them up. I saw one for sale locally - the '77 I think - and it had about 10k miles on it. I understand that the other three were low mileage as well.

that is absolutely gorgeous ed one of the nicest cars i've ever seen.
the blue detailing with the orange is amazing and the lowered look with the twin centre pipes. looking forward to the engine grill etc completed. what is that at the front - is it an oil cooler intake or something?

beautiful!

Thanks for the compliments.

The rear lid will receive a factory Carrera tail, I am painting it now. The duct in the front valance adds cooling air to the front mounted oil cooler.
