Default Rumour has it that Walter Rohrl is at the 'ring

with the 997 GT2, with the intention of setting a time with it.

Seems the Michelin test driver just set a 7:37.

The weather looks good here. Hope it holds there as well.

You can go to www.nuerburgring.de-fileadmin-webcam/webcam.jpg to see live webcam shots of the entrance gate. Earlier, you could see what looks like a GT3 and a regular 997TT parked with everybody watching something on the track, (WR?). 7:37 is freaking flying for a street car!

Trying to cut and paste this link/pic, can't.;(
I saw the white z4's too...( my link seems different(?), angle wise) oh well back to work. I like your link/camera view better anyway.
Edit, I need new glasses, all I see is bmw's now, I scanned Lou's site.
Am I going crazy? Everytime I see a white car I'm seeing 911, somebody call in a Rx for me stat!

This is good marketing at any rate. A very fast 'Ring time seems to be what everyone looks at.

The CGT times were set on street tyres. The RS times and pretty much all the times now are being set on R tyres like the PSCs. The CGT is still king.

A guess would be somewhere in the region of 10 seconds.

Remember, the "street" tires on the CGT are in fact MPSCs.
