Default Oil Pressure Releif Valve - Late Style

Anyone have an extra? Deep in a quick engine replacement/rebuild and both have the old style.

Thanks, John

If the blocks had the old 3 piece OPRV, then you can't use the late OPRV.

What do you mean by "block?" Both oil coolers are the same number and use the spring type relief valve.

Read this. If you are asking for a late style OPRV, then that is a one piece. The one piece cannot be used in a block that had a 3 piece as the block is different (the recess that the OPRV sticks into). It depends on what block you have, as to what OPRV you must use.

the 86 motor"block" has a pressed in sleeve that guides the three piece oprv. You cannot remove this to run the updated style. You CAN however run a retro-fit OPRV that is a one piece design but fits the early block. New these are almost $300 - i have one in my 86. I bought one used that needs a seal in the center section-the two halves are held together by a rubber o-ring- i'll sell this one needing a seal for $55 shipped....

I have the whole oil cooler assembly. Give me a call in the AM. Also, you might want to take a look at the KISS Oil Cooler kit, made a big temp difference when I put it in.

the oil cooler housing does not matter. Im running an s2 oil cooler plate and setup on my turbo, but the block still has the insert making a retrofit OPRV or three piece necessary.
