Default SoCal GTG - September 21st - Irvine

SoCal GTG - PCA Auto-X Event in Irvine
September 21st

We want to wish Darwin a fond farewell!

Directions can be found here:
http://www.pcaocr.org/forum/index.php?topic=143.0

Runs usually start around 9:00 and end around 4:00 - 4:30. I'll be there around 7:00 AM. I have an EZ-UP for shade, a few chairs and a cooler for drinks. Bring a hat, sunscreen, maybe lunch if you plan on staying and plenty to drink. Comfortable shoes are always good. I will do my best to get an instructor wrist band so I can give you guys a ride in my passenger seat. You'll have to borrow a helmet though (which they offer for free).

My brother will be there with his '79 924 track car.
Michael (153BigBlock) will be there as well.

I'd really like to come, but A. I'll be in the van, and B. depends on how my grandma is doing.

There will be more than 100 Porsches already at the event, so don't worry about bringing a non-P-car.

Best wishes to your Grandmother.

Its one of those things that's just a matter of time, but thank you. I'll try to be there

Dang, this is actually on Sunday? I was thinking it was tomorrow. That complicates things...

Hey, this weekends hectic but I plan on making an appearance. Anyone know of a better way to get there without using 241? (it's a toll road). Thanks!

You can take the 55 down, but I always go the 241.

I have a fastrack transponder, so I don't stop and pay but I think its usually a few bucks. The price may have gone up though, because we just went to visit my grandmother in the hospital in NB, and the toll on the 91 was over $8.00

$8? That's freakin' rediculous. I know it saves gas and time, but that's quite literally highway robbery.

Yeah, but think about sitting at the 91 and 55 knowing that you could cut an hour off your time with that $8... it is expensive, but there are times when its worth it.
