Has anyone have the code and schematic for the KLR? Both are available for the DME.

I have not seen any evidence the KLR will pull timing, unless there is knock...
If you are going with the Motec, then get a J&S Safeguard... The KLR was amazing for the time, but I would trade it for a Safeguard any-day.

So for the many that have blown HG I assume the knock was to sudden to be detected to pull timing out? Or would 6 total degrees of timing pulled still not help?

No, knock is not to sudden for computers. The KLR has saved or prolonged many engines. But some of the older chip makers had obscene amounts of timing, that really negated the KLRs ability to pull timing... Combined with poor AFR, and the fact that many of these cars are driven very hard compared to normal street cars (track events, DE, autocross, ect). AND the simple age of the headgasket, which the webbing deteriorates over time. I don't think it is any wonder why there are blown headgaskets.

I have not seen a schematic for the KLR... I've got the .bin for the KLR - just need to disassemble the code.

Can you send me the bin? I guess I need to start working on making a schematic for the KLR. This could take a while but somebody needs to do it.

Might sound dumb but I geuss bypassing the CV is fine if you have an aftermkt boost controller. Now i left my CV there for the connector to stay plugged in. My? is will it make a difference at all if I have it plugged in or not.
