Default FS 1983 SPEC944 PCA SP1

What I have is a 1983 SPEC944 (PCA SP1) with a hole in the oil pan. It has a PCA logbook from 2012. I know it was raced with NASA but I don't have the logbook from the P.O. I raced it at Road Atlanta in March 2012 until the oil dropped onto the track through a hole in the pan. I have not removed the motor. The spares I have include:

I just bought a new used complete motor for it and purchased new bearings, belts and pan gasket (they are still in the box). It is on an engine stand.

I have another extra motor (long block) not sure of condition other than really dirty (no hole in pan) So that makes a total of three motors in various conditions!

clean (rebuilt?) transaxle (still has the shipping sticker on it)

extra driver side and passenger side doors
extra hood
extra set of cookie cutters with Toyos in so-so conditon
toyos on car have 1.5 heat cycles

front valance

rear bumper

misc parts that were removed when converted to race car (interior bits and pieces) and some other stuff I can't remember.

I can't remember if I have any fenders for it so I will assume not. If I do, you can have them.

I think the seat is a Sparco out of date with the Sparco mounts (car has a back brace so date doesn't matter). It may be a cobra seat with cobra mounts. I can't remember for sure and the car is parked in storage. The seat in the pictures is my Ractech seat I am keeping as it is in my other car.

Belts and nets are from 2011.

The transponder is brand new (well, one event) and has NOT been registered with AIM yet.

I'll let it all go (including the engine stand) for $5000.00. It is probably worth more than that parted but who has the time? Not me. If you are interested, let me know. You MUST take all of the 944 stuff I have as part of the deal.

email is ii6svvh@yahoo.com or PM me here. I usually stop by here at least once per day.

Where did it go? I'd love to help get it back on track!

John, did you have the buyer just send the check over to Copans?

Dude I am going to get the GT4 tuned. The gearbox is fresh. The problem at WG was I sheared off the screw that holds the cup the shift lever ball fits into. The socket piece finally worked its way off the end of the shift tube. Easy fix.

I wish though I'd have bought a E car to race.

Glad to hear it was all shifter-related rather than a broken 3rd gear. But your 1st gear seems difficult to manage as well.

20 E cars at Putnam so far!

Arrgh! I won't be back on track til Road America. Should be a lot of fun for you guys at Pee-Pee. And all those championship points available too!

Some good drovers going, but the points leaders in E won't be there. Could tighten things up a bit in E points.

No can do. No way.

House guests.

The saying out here is
"Jackson Hole: Nine months of winter, three months of company."

Have fun, Jack. And keep Brian behind you. He has too many points already.
