Default My new 991C4S

Folks, as a new member (but on my 3rd Porsche) I wanted to thank the forum for all the information that was made available to me to make the right choices...for me anyway.

I ordered my C4S 6 months ago even before it was announced as I was pretty close to the dealer. Needless to say, my config changed numerous times and I drove my local dealer crazy. The end product though is gorgeous. I wanted a car which was great in the snow and also something to keep for a long long time.

Summary of my config is as follows:

- DBM
- Expresso full leather, including steering wheel, seat belt feeds and fuse box
- Sports steering wheel
- Sportdesign pack with ducktail
- Glassroof
- Ceramics
- Alu trim, including pedals and centre console
- Powerkit ggrrrrr
- Burmester...took my cds in and ran an hr of tests...i was sold on the first one hahaha
- Sports+ seats (i dont like so much electronics but also like comfort...these were a good compromise for me)
- Note - no power steering plus....not needed..tested and it was crazy light...I compared 2 different cars and IMHO this is just not necessary. Plus I drive a 1M and a M5 too and I am inclined towards heavier steering
- PDCC plus SPASM.....the ride is just magic and I have tons of switchbacks and valley roads around my place...hugs the road like glove
- smokers packet to clean the centre console
- entry and drive
- pdk
- sport classic wheels with colour crests
- spacers and rdk
- satnav
- parking back and front
- cruise control
- light design pack
- floormats
- online option
- telephone module
- folding mirros
- 911 badge
- dark lights at the front plus PDLS
- colour key and leather holder
- tinted glass
- rear wiper
- porsche crest on seats
- heated seats
- middle tunnel in leather and stitching
- silver belts
- electric mirros
- painted washers

At the end of the day I have no regrets, which is how I wanted it to be. Enjoy the pics. I have only drive 100kms so happy to provide feedback once I have had more time to feel the car. I got 7perc discount plus prosche driver training thrown in for my wife and I. To top things off I went to Stuttgart and spent a day in the Porsche Museum a week before my car arrived so I was all jacked up!

Ciao

Thanks all! Pretty difficult to comment comprehensively on the powerkit but some things that I notice compared to the standard S I test drove, slight change in sound to my ear; a little more racy and burbles/gurgles, with the major difference being linear power delivery... feels like a smoother climb to redline which I like....need more kms to test but I saw it as a 'why not' option considering all other specs and since I also wanted chrono, sports exhaust etc...unlike the last powerkit they have invested heavily into the parts this time so ticked that box whilst ticking many others :-).

Well its not like we're insanely jealous of the additional horsepower, racier burbles or smoother climb up the tach .... much. Break it carefully but keep us informed!!!

Impressive build. The black lights make the lights stand out less, shape of the car more. Killer overload on options. Options to Porsches are like horsepower to race cars: too much is.... just right.
