Default Aftermarket PCM Upgrade - Anyone seen this option?

Greetings all! This is my first post on the forum although I have been a avid reader for sometime. Lots of great info on this site!!

My 997.1 does not have navigation and I am considering a headunit upgrade. I have been reluctant to change out the PCM because I have wanted to retain the factory look. I ran across this unit and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it or has any experience with it.

I'm sure the Alpine, Pioneer & other options are probably superior to this unit from a feature/functionality standpoint; but I really like the OEM look of this unit and the fact that it does not require a bezel. I'm considering installing this unit and then changing out my climate control unit to the black 997.2 version.

Does anybody have experience or know anything about this unit?

A) photoshopped
B) PCM replacement on a .1 car is a complicated and expensive procedure that can easily be botched badly. The PO of my .1S had it done - was totally botched.

I never really checked this out in depth but I know my P-dealer SA has advised that the Pioneer Avic series are a good replacement/upgrades for 997.1's that want navigation. I do a lot of DIY on my cars but would not attempt this one.

I don't think it's photoshopped. I have been searching and these units are all over the web. Found a link to the manufacture:

http://www.koolertron.com/car-electr...s-c-45_49.html

Also found a thread where someone installed one in a Cayenne:

https://rennlist.com/forums/porsche-...with-bose.html

They are also being sold on ebay:

Would definitely be a gamble to order from China but it's tempting. Are there any other options out there that look OEM and don't require use of a bezel?

Here is a pic of the Cayenne install from the other thread

Even if the unit itself is real the original picture looks like a photoshop 997 install. The Cayenne pic shows the LCD screen has poor contrast and is probably hard to read in direct sunlight, who knows about the quality of the other components.

I wouldn't get this myself but go for it if you really want to try it out.
