Audi ETron GT aka the blue light special Taycan
https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a3...n-gt-revealed/
Was not expecting base price to be so close to Taycan. Basically, base price of a ETron GT is $101k, but that includes the same battery as the 4S with the performance Pack, which starts at $111k. So only $10k less.
I suspect the $108k GT Prestige will be about $20k cheaper than the Taycan when optioned similarly.
Not a big delta, I'd probably rather go for the Prosche. The interior is much cooler.

e-tron GT looks great and a decent discount off the Taycan (but still very pricy)!
Audi has some immediately obvious enhancements that I prefer:
MMI screen always offers the homelink button (and I bet the NEXT button will give you your next favorite station!)
Hard buttons for climate control including easy access to recirculation mode
Very interesting paddle shifters for variable recharging / deceleration rates
Possibly standard 2+1 rear seating and likely other features standard that Porsche puts on the option list

The base price comparison is almost irrelevant. We need similarly spec'ed Etron GT versus Taycan to know the true difference.
My base Audi Etron (SUV) comes with about $10k+ in upgrades on a 4S Taycan (adaptive cruise control, leather, rear HVAC, insulated glass, B&O sound system, heated seats, LED head lights, etc).
I'm willing to be the true difference for a typically spec'ed Taycan will be closer to $20k.

I suspect that a comparable GT will be $115k; $108k for the Prestige plus $7k in options for the sport diff package, etc.

Looks like the entry/exit is a similar adventure in the front.

hmmm - text is ambiguous - wonder if they are referring the car or the girl…

The design details are a bit busy, but I do like the overall shape. SOP for Audi lately, which is a shame. They used to be really striking with no qualifiers needed, but have moved away from that studied purity of design.
Not sure I understand the pricing though. Seems much too close to the Taycan to me.
I wonder whether the back seat or trunk are appreciably roomier?

My question is whether they'll release a Turismo version of the Audi. *That* could be interesting.

This is one of the most obvious platform sharing cars in the line-up. Looks much closer to Taycan than Macan to Q5 or Cayenne to Q8. When you factor that the prestige trim is fully loaded, this car represents a real bargain.
