If there's one vehicle out there to make the i4 look normal, it's that abomination.

I guess their thinking is that it's a "50i" or equivalent to the V8, which means the pricing would be on target. But I just don't see it. When you're spending that much, you don't want a car that looks like a dorkmobile.

Not confirmed yet, but I’ve read the i4 will start at 80K, so similar to base Taycan. And the more powerful version will be around 90K, and M version around 105.

Much more expensive than Tesla 3, and near Taycan and Taycan 4S pricing.

I don’t know who would purchase an i4 over a Taycan for a similar price?

And the M3P looks like even more of a steal when it’s likely to be faster than the i4M but at half the price.

It would be dead on arrival if they price it like that. It’s a lifted 4 series gran coupe with batteries underneath and electric motors instead of an engine. It’s not in the same class as the Taycan or eTron GT.

I’ve been reading it should start around $45-50k USD, at which it would be much more competitive with Model 3. They can price it at a slight premium over the Tesla Model 3, but it wouldn’t make sense charging more than $5-10k more than an equivalent BMW 3 series or 4 series gran coupe.

The styling on this BMW looks like it will be utterly forgettable in five years. Or less.

I wish I could forget it now.
