Nice build, should look great. I am curious, why the On-Board 150 kW/400V DC Charger? Everything I read and have seen by reviewers indicate that you will never need it or use it in the US. My dealer confirmed this to me when I ordered.

Most (if not all) new DC chargers support 800V or higher, but there are some legacy chargers that are limited to 400V. I don't know how many are out there, but there is a chance you could come across one and then be limited to charging at 50kW (max kW @ 400V without the upgrade) if you don't have the 150kW/400V upgrade.

Edit: I will add that most of the legacy 400V chargers are probably limited to 50kW anyway, so the upgrade wouldn't make a difference.

If anyone has data on 400V chargers that would help, but I'm beginning to believe the 150kW/400V upgrade is unnecessary. I have it on my Turbo S, but if ordering new today I would consider passing.

Everything I have read or viewed indicated that there are zero of these legacy chargers in the US. My information may not be accurate -- maybe someone can point to the number that exist. I don't want to hijack the thread but if the OP figures out he is wasting $$, he may want to cancel that option before he locks.

if you are a non smoker the smoking package is a waste and if you can I'd eliminate it.

I didn't even look twice at the option until my salesman told me to get it unless I want to spend an eternity at a EA charger on road trips. Future proofing.

massage seats - big surprise favorite w/the wife and myself - we really ordered as a “lark” and now love them - have paid/included on our next Porsche order…
400V DC charger is still a wonky option, but just because all chargers are 800V doesn’t mean the vehicle will “negotiate” an 800V charging session - still need 400V DC charger to deal with 800V stations that mistakenly negotiate a 400V session
power charge port doors - I love me to unplug and walk away and they just close - one of my life’s simple pleasures

This. I enjoyed that on my e-Tron thoroughly. Many times have I forgot to actually shut the door on my Taycan as mine doesn't have it.

Nice build! I also chose a Black/Bordeaux Red interior except with a Dolemite Silver exterior. I think the black and red leather is classy and classic.

I also ordered with the same interior. Originally spec'd with chalk leather and decided it would be blue from denim jeans in no time and switched.

I was back and forth with red and chalk but since my favorite color is red I went the red route. Red looks so great! Every time I get in the Cayenne GTS with Bordeaux ......

I love dark red/burgundy interiors. Great choice. (Both my Suburban and Reatta convertible have them - though GM tended to overdo them a bit. Wish my 944 did too.)
