Default Another Safety Recall For Power Issues

Got an email from Porsche today about another software update to fix an issue with the "Motor Control Error" issue where a fault is detected and the car shuts down wherever you happen to be. Wondering if anyone has completed this software update?

On the last software update they did the car was in the shop for a month.

this is an important update - but simpler than the previous update

I am going in tomorrow for the update. I will report back if there are any issues with it.

on another forum some have reported good results and a few have reported failures and new issues cropping up.
not all cars are affected by the bug being address, I think porsche did a complete recall in an abundance of caution to placate owners and government regulators in the US

Good to hear, I could not get an appointment for two weeks. Hopefully the car will not shutdown on the freeway between now and then.

Easy update. There less than a day and seems to be operating well. FWIW>

I had the latest recall completed Wednesday. No issues. They found a rodent nest by the 12 V battery compartment.....I'll be checking that area more often.

mine is now a brick. apparently if there is a glitch in the update the unit locks up/fries a control board and it has to come from Germany. which can take a few weeks, if available.
