Default GTS Electrochromatic Roof

Early videos and reviews of the GTS Sport Turismo (and maybe the coupe too) show the vehicles with the new electrochromatic roof. But the configurator does not show it as either a standard feature or option. I heard it will be available as an option for other models in late 2022 but any idea whether it is a standard feature on the GTS from launch?

Any guesses what it'll cost? My order locks end March 2022.

I'm guessing multiple 1000s.

That's baloney that it should cost very much. The Toyota Venza has it!

I'm guessing that it'll cost $1k-$2k USD.

Yes, Porsche options are totally in line with Toyotas …..

The glass roof on a 911 is $2000 and the carbon fiber $4000. Odds of it being less than the non electrochromic glass are …. Low.

Not sure how to respond to your comment... Toyota's Venza does not have this feature as an option; most automakers offer little in the way of actual options.
My points are: (1) they have the feature in a $40k Venza, so it's not something that costs $9k to install.
(2) The Cross Turismo (the only Taycan I'm remotely interested in buying) has glass roof standard (i.e., not an optional paid extra), so I'm saying $1k-$2k additional as an option for electrochromic glass.

In the US, the glass roof is already standard, so the incremental cost is the electrochromatic function. Still, my guess is............... $3600 over the price of the standard glass roof.

Hopefully the glass roof is NOT standard- I built a GTS ST without the premium package specifically NOT to get a sunroof. I prefer a smooth top...

His point was many things that are standard on cars costing less than most of us spend on OPTIONS on a Porsche are, just that, options. Like $2,600 for ACC and $1,500 for LED lights that are standard on $20k cars like Toyota Corolla, etc.

Porsche charges what they think they should charge. Not what it cost.

I had this installed in our lab windows at work. Works great, and not expensive. There are quite a few different mfg's and options. I would imagine a good tint/aftermarket shop should be able to do this and install the electronics for $1K or so.
