Description:

The weather lately has not been conducive to snapping good photos but I will work to get some this weekend. I have a lift and will get some photos of the underside as well. I love this car and when I bought it, my intent was to keep it forever as one of the last naturally aspirated Porsche cars, but my wife and I picked up a rescue dog in early 2020 and we are finding that we're taking him on all of our weekend journeys. Obviously with a third member of the family, this isn't the ideal car and it's just not getting used much, which is a shame. As shown below, it's very nicely optioned.

The Basics

2011 "S", 3.4L, direct injection. Speed yellow over black full leather, 6-speed manual (extremely hard to find)
Maintenance is up to date. Oil changes every 7,500 miles with Amsoil 5W40 Euro
Not driven in winter, only occasionally driven in rain
Clear bra on hood, front bumper and leading edge of front fenders
No damage other than minor stone chips
Front bumper has never been drilled for a license plate
Paint received a Gyeon Quartz Q2 Mohs ceramic coating in the fall of 2020.

Factory Options:
551 Wind Deflector
573 Automatic Climate Control
680 BOSE(R) Surround Sound System
AT Black Full Leather Interior
P15 12-Way Power Seats
P75 Bi-Xenon w/ Cornering Lights
V9 Soft Top in Black
X4 Speed Yellow
XLS Sport Tailpipes
XRR 19" Carrera Sport Wheel (19x8.5 front, 19x10 rear) with painted center caps

Extras:
Porsche windshield sun shade
Front plate mount that screws into front tow hook
Clear front turn signal lenses (installed)
Aftermarket Bluetooth streaming audio
Shifter modified with GT3 shift bushings and shimmed to eliminate slop
Durametric tool (I believe it's locked to this car's VIN)

Maintenance / repairs performed
New high pressure fuel pump at ~ 58,000 miles, replaced under warranty by Porsche Silver Spring, coolant drained and refilled during this service
New brake rotors and pads all around (OE Sebro rotors, OE Textar pads and sensors) - fronts done at 65,000 miles, rears done at 55,000 miles
Recent air filter and cabin filter
Spark Plugs replaced at 40,000 miles and 79,000 miles
Recent oil and filter change (oil and filter always changed at 7,500 mile intervals - had Blackstone analysis performed on some but not all changes)
Serpentine belt changed at 79,000 miles
New (<2,000 miles) Michelin PS4S tires
New battery at 65,000 miles

Other info

I bought this car from a dealership in California in 2014 with ~30,000 miles. It took about a year of searching to find a full-leather manual transmission car in a color other than silver. There are tons of PDK cars out there, but it's hard to find a stick. It's really hard to find a color other than gray/silver. I used it as a daily driver on nice days in the spring and summer, and my wife and I used it for a lot of long trips up and down the east coast, so it has a lot of highway miles on it. It's a pretty killer road trip car.

It's in excellent condition. This car lives in a heated garage while at home, and rarely spends time parked outside in the sun due to my employment offering covered parking. The edges of the clear bra on the front bumper are starting to show a little dirt in places, but it's not noticeable unless you're up close. There is a small ding on the passenger's side rear wheel arch that could easily be PDR'd, and I will try to get that done. Two of the wheels have chips in the clear coat from tire changes; no bends or curb rash, though. There is some sandblasting of the wheel arches behind the tires, to be expected with the mileage. The hood was touched up by the previous owner to correct a scratch delivered by a rock kicked up by a semi, and to be honest they didn't do a great job. The interior has a couple of light scratches on the driver's door panel leather. Overall, the car shows very well and has been extremely well cared-for. The top is perfect and operates without issue.

Nice car and comprehensive description. Wish you were closer; I’m sure it’ll be sold by the time I could get there to look at it. GLWS

Excellent listing-post, and let the frenzy begin.

Fantastic car and great timing. I too believe that logistics is heavily in favor of someone with the cash in hand and a lot closer than us Texans.

Love those wheels. This is a great price for a 987.2 with manual transmission. GLWS.

Kinda sorry to see you list it, JV.

Folks: I have been on Rennlist since 2004 and can vouch for the seller.

Great car from a hell of an owner. Been acquaintanced with him for probably 15yrs and don't know many (if anybody) that take better care of their cars. Grab this while it's available.

Stunning car. Too early for me, I need to get kid #2 and #3 done with college first.
Can you hang on for like 6 years?
Cheers

First time I've seen a Speed Yellow/Black Boxster 6MT - gorgeous and I am biased towards Speed Yellow. Should I pair it up with my 2011 Speed Yellow/black TTS? It would be an interesting combo.

I know what you mean except this car was about 1 month too late for me. There's not a doubt in my mind that I wouldn't have gotten on a plane and fetched this one home. Everything about it, and I mean EVERYTHING, is exactly what I wanted. It's such a great example. I'm stunned it's still here.
