Description:

Hello RL community.  I thought to offer these rare 993 /996 Narrow Body Hollow Spoke wheels out here first prior to doing the BAT shuffle. These 18” Porsche wheels measure 7.5”and 10” in width and were produced for use on Porsche 993 sports cars. They were refinished under current ownership and feature alloy construction with hollow spokes. Casting marks show manufacturer logos, part numbers, sizing, and offset information as well as 1996 and 1998 production dates. I acquired this set of Turbo Twist wheels approximately 7 years ago.

All four wheels measure 18″ in diameter and feature alloy construction with hollow spokes. The wheels were refinished recently in Porsche factory silver under current ownership, come w new center caps and new replacement valve stems.

The 7.5” wheels show part number 993.362.134.05 and have a 50mm offset, while the 10″ wheels display part number 993.362.140.01 and have a 65mm offset. Other manufacturer marks show logos, sizing, offsets, and various production codes.

The wheels show 1996 and 1998 production dates. These wheels were designed for use on narrow-body Porsche 993 models but may be suitable for other 911s. Buyer to verify fitment.
pricing based on recent sold set on BAT,
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/fa...orsche-wheels/
although this set on BAT  measures 18”x8/10” NB Fitment and selling for $7000.00 plus fees!
Prefer local sale but willing to drop off packaged in proper , wheel specific boxes at nearest UPS or FedEx office for shipping. Shipping and form of payment fees extra. DM me or email me

Thx and keep it positive.

Looking for summer wheel set for my 97 Targa and these could fit the bill.

I believe the 8” front wheel is more desirable and rare hence the higher price.

Any idea of shipping to 55410?

Curious why your ad is almost identical to the bat ad? Sometimes an indication of a scam so just want to call it out. No offense intended.

Thx for your note. I used their ad as a template. It was well written and informative. I am happy to FaceTime and or provide additional information. As for shipping I am not sure. 4 boxes or possibly 2? Weight is appx 60lbs for 2 wheels (front and rear) plus packaging. As for a 8” front, I believe that is a Boxster wheel w a 993 part number. Not sure how rare that is. Wider is not always better on the front of a 964/993. I tried 8s and 8.5s on a 964. It negatively impacted the feel….like an old pick up.

Sorry, but I dont think they were made for the 993, they were made of the boxter. As such the asking price is very steep!

Hey @oshkosh99
You are correct. I believe someone else also asked that question? Anyway I ran these on a 95 993 NB. They worked great and they do have 993 part numbers. I am not surprised as during that time Porsche was financially efficient , or attempted to be. I am interested at what other forum members experiences are. I have a C2S as well as a few other P Cars and I am sadly a wheel addict. I often change them as often as I change daily clothing. My C2S was optioned w 18x8/10s. I tried this on my 95 993 and the front end felt heavy. Now my C2S is a different story. The 8 & 10a are perfect on the street. I haven’t tracked my C2S but have tracked my NB 993 and hence my earlier comment. Anyway if Gunther can squeeze a 10” on front of a 993 (not a fan) then what’s a 1/2” on the front of a NB 993. Cheers from sunny and warm SoCal!

Thanks!
Do you have any speedlines for NB993 in your collection of wheels, that you’d be willing to part with? Or e88s?

RS Speedlines! I wish, I sold some Allessios recently but no RS version, sadly. Sounds like we are searching for the same unicorn! I currently have Kinesis SuperCups on my 993NB. I had them completely refurbished and they look amazing for a wheel w a similar RS look.

That may be the route I need to take. Would you mind posting a picture of the wheels on the nb993? Sorry to digress from the current offering, i really like the twists, but I think supercups are more my style for this car.

For those looking for an 8” /10” set , here is a listing from a well know Wheel reseller on BAT currently.

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/po...actory-wheels/

These wheels are taking up space in my garage (along w other stuff). Space which I need to squeeze in my latest addition. Make me an offer…

Values? Based on the recent BAT results I would imagine an amount close to the latest auction results. Porsche made many more NB 993s then they did wide body 993s. Therefore logic leads me to think that as more and more 17” 993s NB upgrade their wheels to 18” TT HS wheels, the lack of supply will support the recent prices.

Well if this is market, then my set are a deal. Here is the actual link:
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/porsche-993-hollow-spoke-factory-wheels/
I have heard the comments on the board regarding the 7.5” vs the 8” wheels in terms of rarity. The 7.5” wheels were an option on the 996 NB and Boxster commencing in 1999. Try and find them. They are scarce. They also worked well on my NB 993 as pictured. I preferred the 7.5” wheels in front of my NB 993 as it retained more of the steering feel of the original car w Cup 2 17” wheels. Again that is personal preference.
